
Lawrence (Larry) George Yadlosky, 76, of Duluth passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Larry was born on April 4, 1940 in Ely to Paul and Antonia (Mayerle) Yadlosky. He grew up in Ely and graduated from Ely High School in 1958. He attended Bemidji State University where he earned his degree in Education and later completed his Master’s degree from Mankato State University. Larry worked in the Duluth Public Schools as a teacher, librarian and media specialist at Laura MacArthur and West Jr.
He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Ambridge Gun Club and the Sons of the American Legion, where he served as Adjutant and Treasurer. He also was a member of the Duluth Honor Guard. Larry loved spending time at his Oak Lake trailer fishing and relaxing, testing his luck at the casino, and road tripping to visit the grandkids. He looked forward to time spent outdoors hunting, four-wheeling and target shooting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Antonia Yadlosky; loving wife, Janet (Pluth) Yadlosky; sister, Ruth (Yadlosky) Zaverl; brother, William Yadlosky; and brother, John Yadlosky
He is survived by his son, Mark (Paula) Yadlosky of Rochester, MN; daughter, Cheryl Yadlosky (Mark Gehl) of Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Dr. Renae (Aaron) Luer of Manitowoc, WI; brother, Paul Yadlosky of Newhall, CA, and sister, Barb Buck of Babbitt, MN; grandchildren: Rachel, Andrew, Maggie, Tyler, Macey, Shae and Cale as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev Fr. William Fider officiating. Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
