James Scott, 59, of Babbitt, dies

James (Jim) Lynn Scott,59, of Babbitt, MN passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born August 1, 1958 in Kokomo, Indiana to Hubert and Maddie B. (Walton) Scott.
Jim was a millwright for 27 years, working 49 states and many countries, the last 12+ years as a construction safety consultant.
Jim is survived by his dear love and best friend Cherie Posch and her family: Torry of Duluth, Ted (Young Ted as Jim called him) of Finland, MN and Tim of Fort Davis, Tex.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Tami and twin children: Hailey and Dalton in a horrific car accident in 1994; his parents, brothers: Wayne, Don, Bill, Rick; sister Betty; and both sets of grandparents. Jim enjoyed fishing, camping and large campfires with young Ted. Per Jim’s request, there will be no service. Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home.
