
Patricia Ann “Pat” Turnbull, 81; November 2, 1934 - September 16, 2016, peacefully passed on to heaven in the early morning at Trillium Woods Health Center in Plymouth, MN. She was comforted by family members.
Pat (Mom, Nana) was born in Chester, PA to John and Emma Walsh. She was one of nine children. She is survived by sister, Marie Soltner and brother, Ed Walsh. Pat lived in the Philadelphia area until marrying Jack Turnbull of Pool Location, MN on May 25, 1957, who proceeded her in death on January 1, 1990.
They spent their married life living and working all over the country due to Jack’s career in the Navy. They moved to Ely, MN in 1975 when Jack retired from the Navy. They raised four children: Mike (Pam) Turnbull of Hibbing, MN, Lisa (Mark) Rahja of Maple Grove, MN, Theresa Turnbull of Austin, MN and Stacie (Jeff) Jennings of Newbury Park, CA.
Pat was also blessed with seven grandchildren; Lexie (Jeff Baack) Turnbull of Auburn, NE, Blaine (Alexandra) Turnbull of Maple Grove, MN, Bethany Rahja of Minneapolis, MN, Grant Rahja of Maple Grove, MN and Britney, Jadon, and Jack Jennings of Newbury Park, CA. Pat also had one great grandchild: Beckett Baack of Auburn, NE.
Pat most recently lived in Maple Grove, MN. She had few hobbies and dedicated her time to caring for and supporting the endeavors of all her family members. She loved sports and always supported her children and grandchildren in their activities. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan through good seasons and bad.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, six siblings and her husband. All of which her family knows she has reunited with in heaven.
A private family memorial and burial will take place over the Thanksgiving weekend at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, MN. In honor of Pat’s life, please send any donations to the Vietnam Veterans’ Association, St. Jude’s Hospital or the March of Dimes.
