Dustin Lee Boettcher “D~bo” dies April 21

Dustin Lee Boettcher “D~bo” was born on October 29, 1980 to Carla Jean Boettcher in Hutchinson, MN. Dustin passed away on April 21, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Dustin went to school in Hutchinson. He participated in various sports in high school.
In 2007 Dustin moved to Ely to attend Vermilion Community College and study taxidermy. While living in Ely he met the love of his life Michelle Kosnitch.
He had a passion for hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin with Michelle, family and friends.
The past six years Dustin wintered in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ employed by Stellar Adventures doing ATV, UTV and Hummer tours in the four peaks area of the Sonoran Desert. He was an amazing guide and loved the desert.
In the summer months he was self employed doing interior/exterior painting and carpentry.
He is survived by his mother Carla Boettcher of Ely, the love of his life Michelle Kosnitch of Ely, daughter Alaina of Newcastle, WY, Michelle’s children Keith Doney of Virginia, MN, Nicole Doney of Ely, MN, granddaughter Kenzee with whom he had a special bond, also Vonnie Kosnitch of Ely, John (Chris) and JT Kosnitch of Cambridge, MN and his girls Sophie and Nelli. He is also survived by his Stellar Adventure family, roommates Mike and Jill, friend Hubert all of Phoenix/Scottsdale area, Uncle Chuck (Cheryl) Boettcher of Hutchinson, MN, Aunt Debbie Stanlee of Orlando, FL, Aunt Marcia (Hod) Barnes of Albany, OR and numerous cousins, best friend Chad Kolden and family of Litchfield, MN and many other special friends.
Dustin was preceded in death by grandparents Charles and Shirley Boettcher and Michelle’s father John A. Kosnitch.
Dustin made friends wherever he went! If you had the privilege to know him you were blessed!
A celebration of life for Dustin Lee “D~bo” Boettcher will be held on May 4, 2019 at 2 pm at Kerntz funeral home in Ely,MN.
